About Us

In baptism, we are brought into a story, to be an actor in the play which God is writing and producing. And once we’re onstage, we’re part of the action.

The First Act Baptism reenacts the story of the Bible. Passing through water signifies renewal. The people of God pass through the Red Sea to freedom, then after 40 years pass through the Jordan River into the Promised Land. New believers recall Good Friday and Easter by dunking their bodies under water, only to spring up into the sunlight feeling reborn. Through baptism we join the divine drama. It’s the entrance into the Kingdom of God.
