Here I Am, Send Me I’m a Christ follower. That’s because I feel that Jesus has the most compelling storyline. Think about it. Out of love, God sends his Son to heal a broken world. The Son performs miracles, hangs out with “misfits,” forgives his enemies, and tells riddles with humor. He inspires others to action with his talk about a new world where heaven and earth come together, and where friendships and service are characterized by joy. When he defends the weak, and the in-crowd pushes back, he lays down his life for his friends. Best of all, to show Jesus is right, God raises him from the dead. Then Jesus sends his followers to share the good news. This is a mission I want to join - helping God create a new world, one already begun but not yet complete.
